Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science

Department : Analytics, Environmental & Forensics

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer within King's Forensics in the Department of Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences housed in the School of Population Health & Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine.

The post holder will lead the MSc/MRes programme, accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Scientists, and have significant responsibility for providing leadership, drive and innovation in Forensic Science Education across King's Forensics.

The post holder will bring to the role research expertise in an area of Forensic Science and oversee the integration of new areas of research into the programme to help future proof the curriculum.

A proportion of the Senior Lecturer's time will be spent developing high quality research. Expertise in Digital Forensics, AI, crime analysis and Intelligence-based systems would be particularly welcomed. The post holder will develop successful research grants to contribute to the output of King's Forensics and the Department, as well as the wider research strategy of the School, focused on analytics and applied research.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview, and a presentation.
