About the position

The Associate Dean Research and Innovation will report to the Dean of the School of Fashion and Textiles Prof Robyn Healy. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to lead and develop the Schools research culture, strategic research objectives and environment. The aim will be to promote and deliver high impact research outcomes through strong collaboration across the University and with external global partners. You will ensure delivery of a high quality Higher Degrees by Research program and exercise academic leadership to enhance the standing of the School nationally and internationally.

As a member of the School executive team you will work collaboratively across the School to ensure the strategic objectives are met. This position has a close working relationship with the Dean and the College Deputy PVC Research & Innovation.

Skills/Experience required

As Associate Dean you will demonstrate your experience and expertise to provide research leadership and management to ultimately contribute to greater outcomes in research and integrated scholarship performance.

You will have a strong ability to think strategically and utilise your exceptional communication and negotiating skills to liaise with senior executives and external bodies. You will be a major authority within your field and provide original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the School's programs. In addition, you will bring with you a substantial record of academic, research and professional achievement in the relevant area and the capacity to advance the schools scholarly, research and professional capabilities at a national and international level.

Mandatory A completed PhD in a relevant discipline

A Working with Children check is required for this role.
