An excellent opportunity has become available within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering for a Department Administratoron a part-time contract (0.5 FTE) for 18 hours per week Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday full days. A pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised individual is required to provide professional administrative support to the Head of Department, academic and research staff within the Department.

Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will have previous experience of working in an administrative environment and ideally experience of working in the Higher Education Sector.

You will demonstrate excellent IT skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure. Excellent inter-personal skills and a flexible approach are essential together with accuracy and a keen eye for detail.

The Department Administrator will provide support to the academic and research staff in the Department and manage enquiries and resource information effectively.
