The Department of Biology at UAE University is inviting applications for full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position in Molecular Microbiology. The Department of Biology is one of the largest and most active Department in the College of science with research in the fields of cancer, microbiology, plant pathology and ecology. The Department is seeking motivated investigators with strong interest in developing an innovative research program in any area of basic and applied microbiology. The Department of Biology has an excellent international team of researchers in various research areas including cancer, microbiology, plant pathology and ecology. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in molecular microbiology or related fields and an excellent track record of accomplishment in his area of research. The faculty member is expected to develop a strong, high quality independent research program supported by intra- and extramural funding to address fundamental questions in microbiology at the molecular level. He/She is also expected to collaborate in research with investigators in the department, college, university and other national and international academic institutions. Utilization of modern approaches such as transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics is highly encouraged. Responsibilities will also include contributing in teaching microbiology-related courses and lab courses to undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty will be also involved in updating existing microbiology courses and developing new course related to his area of research expertise. Consistent with the UAEU policy, the faculty member is expected to serve on Department, College and University committees as seen appropriate by the Head of Department.
