The Food Science Department, College of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University, invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in Food Technology at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor with primary research and secondary teaching responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate must develop a competitive and internationally visible research program in food technology with emphasis on value-added development of new food and beverage products along with their safety, preservation, packaging, and storage. Optimization of the processing factors affecting product quality and shelf-life are integral to the activities. The candidate will collaborate with nutritionists, chemists, and sensory specialists for developing new food products and processes, and closely interact with stakeholders and industry. High quality original research publications from the conducted research work in reputed international journals is an expectation. The successful candidate must develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, including but not limited to, food technology, food engineering, packaging, and related courses, and supervise undergraduate/graduate students and research trainees.
