The Research and Innovation Portfolio oversees research and research training across the University through the development and implementation of RMIT University's strategic research priorities and through managing research systems and reporting requirements. The Portfolio supports the research and innovation activities of staff and graduate researchers with professional development, collaboration and funding opportunities, ethics and responsible conduct compliance, contract development, intellectual property, project completions and profiling.

About the Role

You will provide exceptional administrative support to a senior executive within the Research and Innovation Portfolio. As Executive Assistant to the Executive Director Research Office you will provide one-on-one support, including coordinating diaries, travel, workflows and communications. This position requires regular and professional engagement with senior leaders across the Research Office, the Research and Innovation Portfolio and the wider university. You will form part of a highly motivated executive support team and be expected to exercise high level of initiative and sound judgement in a complex and rapidly transforming research management environment.

About You

We are looking for an engaging, motivated and proactive person who enjoys working in a very fast-paced and rewarding team context. Important to this role is your extensive experience and/or exposure to working in highly professionalised environment focused on collaboration, outcomes and customer service. You will be adept at prioritising work and meeting high standards within a busy team context. You will enjoy deploying your high-level computer skills to prepare quality correspondence, presentations and reports with attention to detail and in collaboration with others. We are seeking candidates with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and with the ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the immediate work unit.

Mandatory: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent years of relevant experience.
