The Divisional Assistant will be part of a small team who will be required to provide administrative support to a group of academic and research staff in respect of their research, teaching and administrative duties. In addition to organising and servicing meetings, arranging travel, raising requisitions and diary management, the post holder will also assist with some financial duties and help maintain divisional webpages.

You will have administrative experience in a busy office environment and have demonstrable IT skills and be proficient with the Microsoft package. A high standard of written and spoken communication skills plus the ability to deal effectively with people is essential. You should also possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative, work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team and the ability to work flexibly. You will have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise competing demands.

Applicants should have a good standard of education; normally a minimum of several GCSE’s at grade C or above, including English and Maths, or NVQ equivalent.
