ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Assistant Professor salary range: £33,330 - £39,040 per annum

Associate Professor salary range: £40,200 - 46,570 per annum

Richmond, The American International University in London, is seeking to appoint an Assistant or Associate Professor of International Relations to teach a range of modules from the freshman (first year undergraduate) to postgraduate (Masters) level. Richmond is a unique institution, offering 4-year BA liberal arts degrees to students from over 60 countries from its main campuses in Richmond and Kensington, as well as several postgraduate programmes, including our MA in International Relations.

We are seeking a candidate with a publication record, a clear research agenda and proven experience of delivering high quality teaching in Security Studies and other specialist sub-fields of International Relations. As we are a dual-validated university, experience of teaching in both UK and US systems of higher education would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the Dean of the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences, the Assistant/Associate Professor must have a commitment to international education and a proven ability to work in a cooperative and creative manner with a small team of fellow faculty.

The full-time position of Assistant/Associate Professor of International Relations is permanent subject to satisfactory completion of a one-year, probationary period. Richmond is an equal opportunities employer.
