Job description
Coventry University is looking to grow our newly established Group Programme Management Office (GPMO) and is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager.
The GPMO have two key areas of activities, firstly we are responsible for the delivery of strategic large-scale investment projects across a Group-wide portfolio of programmes to support the successful delivery of the goals set out in the corporate plan and secondly we have a programme assurance role across the group for all projects and programmes. As an experienced Project Manager, we will expect you have a recognised project management qualification with a number of years' experience managing end to end high complexity projects.
The role will involve liaising with external and internal stakeholders, so the ability to build relationships with senior management; facilitation of conflicting senior stakeholder requirements, and being comfortable with board level reporting are key. You will need to be able to define, manage and lead on multiple concurrent projects, to meet identified strategic business needs within agreed parameters and tight deadlines. It is anticipated that you will be providing project management expertise to projects across the enterprise and research activities, so an understanding of the commercial and research agendas at Coventry University would be highly beneficial.
For any queries regarding the requirements of this role, please contact Dean Brotherton (ab5229@coventry.ac.uk). To apply for the role, please complete the application form.
