Job Summary

This position supports clinical research efforts in the area of Child Psychiatry across 1-2 research projects. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, research coordination, monitoring and conducting electroencephalography (EEG) scans and/or functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), assisting in the data collection and participant navigation of behavioral tasks during study visits, data analysis, and data entry. The ability to work on short-term projects is required as requested. Applicants must have an understanding of EEG administration with preschoolers and be able to conduct research study visits independently.

Responsibilities*

The candidate will be responsible for participant recruitment, screening, and scheduling. Responsibilities also include coordination of lab visit assessments across participants, staff members, and space availability, obtaining informed consent and conducting assessments at lab visits (e.g., EEG tasks, neurodevelopmental tests). Other administrative tasks include managing databases, coordinating data collection across research sites, maintenance of IRB submissions, and managing participant compensation. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing and training undergraduate student research assistant(s).

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of research experience with children as young as age 3 required.
  • Experience conducting clinical research studies required, including experience working with teams to implement study protocol during clinical study visits with young children.
  • Ability to work well in team environment as well as independently is required.
  • Some flexibility in schedule is necessary for the role, including weekends and evenings.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Proficiency in EEG administration, data management, including reporting and analysis, and study management are strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple studies simultaneously, IRB and regulatory compliance knowledge, including reporting and data sharing processes are also desired.

Work Schedule

M-F, 9-5 with flexibility to accommodate participant needs outside of these hours, including evenings and weekends.
