A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy and expanding team in the heart of Birmingham. Aston University is looking to recruit an MSc/MA Business Development Manager within its centralised Careers+Placements department. In this strategically important position, you will play a vital role in generating and sourcing appropriate ‘work based learning’ and graduate-level employment opportunities (in the UK and overseas) for postgraduate students across a range of disciplines.

You will work closely with multiple stakeholders, engaging with organisations to understand their talent needs and have a sound grasp of the global labour market, particularly in China and Southeast Asia. Working closely with other internal teams and industry facing departments you will provide an effective interface for employers engaging with the University.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and committed individual to join our high performing, friendly team, supporting students to gain graduate level employment or go on to further study.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have substantive experience of business development, account/stakeholder management and graduate recruitment, preferably within the HE sector. Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, good IT skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently the successful candidate will be able to prioritise their work and plan in a methodical and organised way.
