Lecturer in Ancient Greek and Latin Language and Literature

Department : Classics

The Department of Classics at King's College London is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Ancient Greek and Latin Language and Literature to cover for staff on research leave. The successful candidate will teach a range of topics in Ancient Greek and Latin literature (as indicated in the Job Pack); carry out world-class research; perform assigned administrative duties; and assist with the pastoral support of students. The Lecturer will be supported through mentoring and training to develop their career.

Candidates should specialise in any aspect of Ancient Greek and/or Latin literature. They will have a record of inspiring teaching and research and a commitment to the academic development of the subject and its promotion through public engagement. Candidates must have their PhD awarded by the start date of the appointment.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years.

This is a full time post.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview.

Grade and Salary : Grade 6, £37,412 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
