PRO VICE-CHANCELLOR (STUDENTS) 

  • Fixed term, part-time appointment (2 days per week, to December 2019)

The Pro Vice-Chancellor Students portfolio encompasses a dynamic and fast-paced award winning university careers service which is reframing its structures to continue to be at the forefront of innovation in employability.

The Graduate Career Development and Employability (GCDE) unit supports the career development needs of more than 17,000 students annually through 400 programs.

GCDE provides key learning opportunities for students through our curricular and co-curricular programs with a focus on work-integrated learning, career development learning, entrepreneurship and employability. We are strategic in our actions and in our aim to create ‘career ready’ graduates who can successfully navigate the changing world of work.

This role is aligned with the Sydney Business School and the aim is to enhance student experience, student retention and graduate outcomes and to equip graduates to contribute to society and the global workplace. 

Specifically, the role will provide Sydney Business School students with high quality targeted career services, programs, resources, and facilitate access to workplace experiences. This suite of offerings is designed to enhance student employability and cultivate an enterprising and entrepreneurial mindset. 

We are seeking an individual who has passion and drive and can connect with students, staff and employers. A post graduate qualification in Career Development and experience in working with relevant graduate labour markets and their recruitment practices are essential criteria.
