Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology (Ref.: 494032), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in a field related to Precision Oncology and Microenvironment. They should also have substantial laboratory-based translational research experience in cancer biology, cancer stem cells and cancer microenvironment/cancer immunology; an excellent track record of high-quality publications in the related areas; and excellent knowledge of statistics and writing skills. Preference will be given to those with success in research grant application, and proven capacity to contribute to interdisciplinary and collaborative research in microenvironment with other research institutes of Hong Kong and overseas. The appointee will need to have a strong commitment to helping the Department develop and advance research programmes related to microenvironment.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
