The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation. The provision of a stimulating and satisfying experience for students is a priority for the University.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Program Manager is accountable for reviewing the current operating model of a discrete business group across the university and influencing the future direction to ensure alignment with the Universities strategic goals, as well as, the sustainability and growth of the service and product offering as part of the wider University strategy. You will be responsible for influencing key stakeholders across different cohorts, and you will need to deliver clear, rational and consistent messaging tinged with thought provoking ideas and initiatives. The role will lead any endorsed recommendations from a project management perspective.
Skills & Experience Required
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a planned program of complex and discrete works within the Vocational Education space at RMIT. You will have substantial career evidence of project management, with demonstrated experience working in a complex environment to develop strategy, with the ability to drive outcomes through influence and collaboration. The Program Manager will possess proven skills to lead teams through an entire project lifecycle. You will have demonstrated experience in implementing change within an education context, and experience in successful budget management for large scale projects. Proven capability in verbal communication and experience managing senior stakeholders and strategic relationships, as well as highly developed discretion and integrity will be key to your success in this role.
You will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications, and
- a current project management accreditation.
This role will require satisfactory confirmation of a Working with Children Check.
