Our Academic Services Division has primary responsibility for the delivering student focused professional and administrative services in support of the University’s academic activities. These include Academic Policy and Programs; Admissions; Examinations; Student Centres; Student Complaints and Grievance Resolution; Student Fees and Scholarships; Student Progression and the management of teaching spaces, as well as contributing to student-related policy development.
The role
The Associate Director will provide leadership and strategic oversight for the diverse activities of specified units within the division, including our Student Centres, University Admissions, and Student Progression. The Associate Director will be expected to operate with a high overall degree of automony with broad direction, and will also have responsibility for effective and efficient service delivery to contribute to achieving the University’s strategic goals and objectives, and ensuring relevant University activities comply with legislation and policy.
The person
To be successful you will have extensive experience, preferably in a tertiary education institution, with a significant focus on management of others. A strong track record of translating strategic objectives into operational practices and a proven ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing and uncertain environment is essential, as are excellent communication skills (including the ability to write clear and concise reports) to liaise and negotiate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 10A. A competitive remuneration package, with 17% employer superannuation contributions, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Travel to our Gatton and Herston campuses will be required on occasion.
