The Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team within the Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking to appoint a fixed term (ASAP) Personal Assistant (PA) for Teaching, Learning & Student Experience.

The primary aim of this role is to provide comprehensive and proactive administrative support for the Faculty’s Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team. The post holder will be a key administrative point of contact within the team and will ensure questions, issues and concerns are dealt with effectively and efficiently. The post is also responsible for the PA support for the Vice-Dean for Teaching, Learning & Students and the Head of Teaching, Learning & Student Experience.

Responsibilities will be varied and will include activities such as diary management, organising events, organising travel & accommodation, servicing & organising ad-hoc meetings, finance support and records management (a full list of responsibilities is stated in the job description).

The post holder should have experience of working in administration and supporting academic colleagues; you will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a high level of integrity, using tact and diplomacy when necessary.

You will also have knowledge of standard office procedures and working with the various University IT systems.
