Apply your extensive Retail Management experience to help deliver competency-based training to the enthusiastic CDU students throughout the NT.

The Charles Darwin University (CDU) Vocational Education and Training (VET) Faculty is responsible for the planning, delivery and reporting of government subsidised and fee for service training and assessment to approximately 14,000 students across the Northern Territory.

Operating within the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Service Industries, The Hair, Beauty and Retail Team provides nationally accredited training in Certificate I to Diploma level qualifications in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Retail.

As the VET Lecturer/Workplace Assessor – Retail you are responsible for the development and delivery of training whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the VET Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Retail Services Training Package ranging from Certificate I to Certificate IV level.

You will deliver training programs through flexible learning environments including, classrooms and/or other nominated teaching locations/workplace environments either on or off campus and in remote areas of the Northern Territory. Experience providing training within a workplace setting or educational institution will be highly regarded.

To be successful you must possess a Certificate IV in Retail Management with extensive work experience in the sector, as well as a current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor or recognised TAE Skill Sets) and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required.
