ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, MIT Museum, to report to the directors of Programs and the MIT Museum/Nord Anglia Collaboration and provide administrative support to both teams. Primary responsibilities include generating invoices and processing financial payments including travel and expense reports through MIT’s financial system, initiating and maintaining temporary and contract employee paperwork, reconciling monthly financial accounts, procuring materials for workshops and activities, booking school workshop sessions, contacting and confirming instructors for each workshop, reserving spaces on campus, and communicating with sponsors and clients. Will also assist with promoting educational offerings to target audiences and liaising with educators and relevant community organizers, perform data entry, place and process catering orders, maintain contact lists and program databases, communicate with individuals and groups at MIT and within the greater Boston community about MIT Museum programs, and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a high school degree; a minimum of three years’ administrative experience that includes secretarial, office, and financial responsibilities; strong customer service orientation; excellent organizational, time-management, communication, customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft and Google platforms; ability to work both independently with limited supervision and as part of a team; and ability to lift weights of at least thirty pounds. A college degree is preferred. MIT experience, including its financial systems, would be an advantage. May work occasional evening and weekend hours. This is a term position through May 2021.
