About the role

Opportunities exists to join an energetic research and learning community in the School of Health and Human Sciences. The School provides an exciting and innovative learning environment and works with individuals, families and communities in order to meet their health needs and requirements, and deliver person-centred care.

The School is distinctive for its multidisciplinary understanding of client care, commitment to the prevention of disease and promotion of healthy lifestyles. The School offers fields of study across a broad range of health-related professions including clinical exercise physiology, midwifery, natural and complementary medicine, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, osteopathy, pedorthics, podiatry, psychology, speech pathology, sport and exercise science, and sport management.

The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will actively contribute to the School through student centred teaching practice and development. The successful applicant will contribute to the research and/or scholarship of the teaching profile of the School through their publications and undertake relevant engagement and service activities to support the School.

At Senior Lecturer level, the appointee will play a key role in overseeing the development, resourcing and delivery of the Occupational Therapy discipline at the Coffs Harbour campus.

About you

You will hold a relevant qualification appropriate to the level of appointment and have academic and clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.  You will be an energetic academic, ready to commit to the University’s values and priorities, engaged and innovative in your approach to the role, and keen to make a contribution to the University and the community through your activities.

You will display a student centred approach to your teaching, enjoy applying new and existing technology, a commitment to reflective teaching practice and capacity and/or experience in blended and online teaching modes. You will have a publication track record, reflective to opportunity, with a research profile that aligns with the School’s.
