IT Services has a vacancy for a Purchasing and Events Administrator within the Logistics Team. This role is being offered as a jobshare on an open-ended basis and is 14 hours per week. It would be preferable for the successful candidate to be available to work the hours between Wednesday and Friday.

The core responsibilities of the role are administering orders for devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices). This involves monitoring requests for devices, assisting with stock management, ordering through our purchasing system, liaising with suppliers to monitor order progress and delivery dates, maintaining good communications and accurate record keeping throughout the process.

As the Logistics Team is expanding its remit, duties are likely to evolve over the next 12 months, with the possibility of taking on tasks such as planning for University events, planning for large scale refurbs, and helping with office and building moves.

In addition, there may be general administrative duties (including organising and servicing meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes etc, updates to documentation, preparation of reports) as required.

Knowledge of IT hardware is an advantage but is not required. Most of all this role requires someone who is highly organised, with good communication skills and good attention to detail.

For informal inquiries please contact either Caroline Bardrick (Caroline.Bardrick@bristol.ac.uk) or Aimee Short (Aimee.Short@bristol.ac.uk), the Logistics Team Managers (jobshare), or Simon Speight (Simon.Speight@bristol.ac.uk), 3rd Line Support Manager.

The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 24th February 2019.

It is expected that interviews will be held during the week beginning Monday 4th March.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
