Three – dimensional (3D) printing has emerged in the field of pharmaceutics for the development of novel medicinal formulations. For the past decade implantable biomedical devices have received much attention whereby 3D printed structures deliver an active agent in a sustained release mode for long time periods.
The aim of the project will be to develop a scalable 3D printing platform for manufacturing medicines. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong academic background in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies. The candidate should have experience in designing oral solid dosage forms and extrusion processing followed by physicochemical and mechanical characterization.
