Operating within the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Service Industries, the Hair, Beauty and Retail Team provides nationally accredited training in Certificate I to Diploma level qualifications in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Retail.

As VET Lecturer / Workplace Assessor – Hairdressing, you are responsible for delivering training in the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training Package in accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards and VET Quality Framework competency standards. This includes completing administrative tasks associated with training provisions in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining accurate student records, contributing to growing the teaching business and anticipating and responding to industry training requirements.

To be successful you must possess a Certificate IV in Hairdressing with extensive post-trade workplace experience, as well as a current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor or recognised TAE Skill Sets) and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required.

Essential to this role is your contemporary knowledge of the Hairdressing industry and associated organisations, coupled with experience in researching and developing training tools to meet the needs of students and/or industry clients. Established industry networks and relationships within the Hairdressing sector will be highly regarded.
