• Based in the Future Industries Institute located at Mawson Lakes campus
• Full-time, fixed term contract to 16 August 2019
• Salary range: $85,680 - $91,969 per annum (plus super)

About the Job

The Research Associate will conduct high-quality research in the area of additively manufactured titanium. You will design and execute experiments including heat treatment, sample preparation and electron microscopy as well as contributing to the development of x-ray diffraction capability with the Future Industries Institute.

Skills and Experience

To be successful, you will have a PhD in Engineering or Science (Metallurgy, Material Science, Mechanical) along with demonstrated skills and experience in x-ray diffraction and/or electron microscopy. You will also have evidence of high quality research output commensurate with the length of your research career and published and presented in appropriate forums. Your high level problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role.
