Support/Academic/Management Support

UCB are seeking to appoint a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to provide support in all aspects of maintaining core services and a reliable and secure network infrastructure.

The role will include maintenance and troubleshooting of the network and wireless infrastructure, configuration and installation of Cisco network devices, supporting the VoIP telephony system and firewall, dns and dhcp operation.

The successful candidate will have experience and understanding of network fundamentals (including configuration of network switches) combined with knowledge of virtualised environments and a customer-focus. You will be organised with excellent communication skills and enthusiastic about opportunities to up-skill and participate in relevant development activities.

Due to the critical need to maintain a consistent and dependable network service, flexibility is essential in order to cover upgrades, planned maintenance and emergencies.
