The University is seeking to appoint a senior systems administrator with a strong working knowledge and hands on experience of Microsoft Server technologies, Linux, VMware and other IT Infrastructure and web technologies both on-premise and cloud.

Key technologies include VMWare, Active Directory, Windows, Linux, Web servers (e.g. Apache/ IIS), Database servers (e.g. SQL server / Oracle / MySQL), SAN Storage and IT automation / Devops tools such as Puppet.

Based in the Information & Library Services department, this role sits within the Infrastructure team focused on the delivery of IT Services within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences (FLAS). You will provide operational support for live systems used by the Faculty and be the technical lead on relevant projects for the Faculty or ILS, and should have demonstrable experience of delivering solutions based on current technologies and industry best practices
