The Corporate Services portfolio comprises the key corporate services elements of the University which collectively contribute to and support Griffith to achieve its overall mission and strategic goals.

Corporate Governance sits within the Office of the Vice President (Corporate Services) and supports the University Council, key committees, and the Senior Executive to ensure the effective overall management of the University through compliance with corporate-level responsibilities and obligations.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Policy and Governance to undertake and contribute to a range of corporate governance activities including policy library management, policy development and review; provision of high-level secretariat and advisory services to Council and key committees; conduct of Council and Committee elections; maintenance of delegation schedules, corporate governance websites and publications. The position works closely with the Head, Corporate Governance and a small administrative team in performing corporate governance functions and tasks. This role supports and liaises with key stakeholders including the Chancellor, Council and committee members, and executive and senior staff of the University.

This is a continuing, full time position based at the Nathan campus.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in working at a senior level in a complex regulatory environment and an appreciation of decision-making in a hierarchical structure. You will have the capacity to build positive relationships and consult with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. You will have experience in assimilating technical, complex and detailed information and demonstrated capacity to draft high-quality, clear and concise documents. Your exceptional organisational skills will be underpinned by your professionalism, tenacity and strong commitment to excellence.

Salary range

Hew Level 10: $116,202 Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $135,957 per annum.
