WASTE & RECYCLING OFFICER 

£24,029 - £26,243 PER ANNUM

Facilities Management is a multi-disciplinary department providing a comprehensive estate planning and management service and a range of facilities support services.The Department is seeking to appoint an experienced Waste & Recycling Officer to provide the highest standard of services, ensuring a clean, safe and green space for its staff and students. 

You will be based at Chester primarily but will be expected to work across all 8 University sites and be responsible for working with our suppliers to ensure all waste, recycling and food waste is collected as part of the University contract. 

You will engage with staff and students to reduce waste streams as part of the sustainability agenda, and creatively address and solve waste issues. You will work within the Sustainability Unit, feeding into all teams to solve operational and strategic waste and recycling issues ensuring consistency across the University. 

You will hold a Degree in an Environmental, Waste Management or related subject. Also required is experience in developing waste & recycling policies and procedures, waste & recycling data monitoring, waste management reporting, and tender writing along with excellent IT and communications skills.
