This is an exciting time for Hartpury, as from September 2018 we became both a university and a college on a single campus; an amazing achievement in the history of our institution.  As a land based residential institution renowned for excellence in sport, equine and land based studies, we aim to provide a unique high quality experience in a focused and supportive environment, challenging our learners in the pursuit of excellence.

As Project Manager, you will be based in our Digital Services team, but work collaboratively and flexibly across structural boundaries to ensure effective and efficient delivery of our projects.

The successful candidate will successfully deliver the Pro-monitor project and number of other IT based projects through;

  • Effective project management to ensure delivery within the constraints of resource, time and quality.
  • Organise regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure that business priorities, milestones, targets and constraints are reviewed, agreed and managed.
  • Exemplify best practice in project activities in particular project planning, stakeholder communications, risk, priority setting and execution within agreed budgets, standards and milestones.

With a qualification in project management or relevant professional experience you'll have proven experience of managing and delivering complex and varied projects (such as software development or third party package implementations), and providing progress reports to senior management, highlighting any issues or risks and advising the appropriate course of action to mitigate against these.

This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team at one of the UK’s leading specialist education providers. This post is offered on a full time, fixed term basis for one year.

In return we offer an attractive package with 25 days leave, plus bank holidays; Local Government Pension Scheme and support for training & development.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.  All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring checks along with other relevant employment checks.

Visit our website www.hartpury.ac.uk to see full details and apply online or telephone (01452) 702135 to request documents by post. Previous applicants need not apply.

The closing date for receipt of applications is the 20th February 2019.
