The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Director, HR Shared Services (HR SS) is a key strategic role with a University wide focus and is pivotal in leading the HR Shared Services Team responsible for servicing RMIT business units. The services provided include HR Employee Services, Payroll, HR Assist, development, integration and maintenance of HR Systems and the management of continuous process and system improvement projects. A critical element of this position is to drive process efficiency, effectiveness and reengineering across the HR function and to be the front door to the People function.
This leadership position is a critical member of the HR Executive team and will work strategically and operationally on running the HR function. You will work closely with other teams throughout the University to build an integrated Employee Services and systems solution, ensuring outcomes are aligned with the strategic direction of RMIT.
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven HR leader who demonstrates knowledge and experience managing a broad range of HR SS functions in a large, complex matrix organisation. You will have extensive experience in managing and leading a team of HR professionals as well as strengths in driving improvements in human resource management processes and systems.
The University is undertaking a significant transformation of its Service Culture and with enabling technology via Workday, you will play a key role in re-shaping service culture, processes and systems across the people function. Key to your success will be your passion and ability to manage and influence change in a complex and often challenging work environment. Your highly developed interpersonal skills will see you build strong relationships with a broad stakeholder group including working closely with the Financial Services team, IT Services team and Executive/Directors throughout the University to build an integrated Employee Services and systems solution, ensuring outcomes are aligned with the strategic direction of RMIT. The successful candidate will be a commercial leader with strong business acumen and ability to contribute both in areas of subject matter expertise and as a general manager.
You will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field, and
- relevant experience in senior leadership roles.
Experience working with Workday would be would advantageous.
