MEDICAL ASSISTANT, PRIMARY CARE, MIT Medical, to assist physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and perform other tasks consistent with training/skills.  Will act as the primary liaison between clinical staff and patients; actively prepare for the daily operations of patient visits; lead twice-daily huddle sessions to ensure all pertinent patient information is communicated between all clinical staff and have all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently; and manage HealthLife requests, ensuring patients comprehend medical treatment information provided and using the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance. Responsibilities include interacting with patients in a manner consistent with their needs; ensuring efficient patient flow through the office; maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas; administering vaccination and other clinical responsibilities according to state laws and MIT Medical policies; and performing clinical and clerical duties within the scope of training, practice, and patient population.

Job Requirements


Graduation from accredited medical assistant program or medical assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; diplomacy; ability to comply with established risk management and safety procedures and local/state/federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations; sound judgment; attention to accuracy and detail; ability to maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize and see tasks through to completion in a complex and busy environment.  Two years’ related experience in a physician’s office setting and national medical assistant certification preferred Job #17083-5
