The Aston Systems Analytics Research Institute and Computer Science Group is seeking to appoint One Research Fellow to work with West Midlands industry in the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) project Big Data Corridor. The appointment is 6 months (01/04/2019 – 30/09/2019), which focuses on system analysis, developing cooperative research with enterprises and tutoring work.

You will join the Laboratory of Semantics, Knowledge and Data at Aston Systems Analytics Research Institute and Computer Science Group. You will be working at the cutting edge of data and systems analysis technologies and industrial ecology. This is an opportunity to become a member of a vibrant team with a successful track record in artificial intelligence, big data, system analytics and cross-disciplinary research.

You should have an expertise in the fields relevant to information system analysis or industrial social network analysis (a PhD will be an asset for research appointment). Preference will be given to applicants with a proven expertise and a good research record in relevant areas. Previous work experience in data management, enterprise information system, system analysis, knowledge management, social networks, industrial symbiotic network analysis or relevant areas would be advantageous. The ability to conduct independent research and to work as a member of a research team is essential.
