Durham University is seeking motivated and technically skilled individuals to join our technical service delivery function within Computing and Information Services to support the delivery of Lecture Capture. As Durham University delivers against its ambitious strategy for 2017-2027 this is an exciting opportunity to meet the needs of the modern institution and support outstanding Learning and Teaching. The successful applicant will join a highly competent team utilising Cloud-based technologies integrated with in-room audio-visual hardware and web-based user facing services and internal administrative functions.

The role holders will support this service within the AV team who have responsibility for the delivery and management of Lecture Capture services to support Durham. You will be expected to sustain the service support model, ongoping technical hardware solution development and Panopto platform integration with our current services such as the SyllabusPlus Timetabling system. The end result must deliver flexibility and agility for operational working of the service.

Day to day activities will include working with Panopto as our solution provider vendor, independent consultants and members of the IT technical function. You will work with subject matter experts across our academic departments and with colleagues who support our network estate.

As part of the AV team you will provide regular reports on the design, build, configuration, and use of our Panopto lecture capture services. They successful applicants will have demonstrable experience of supporting technical services, customer service delivery and converting complex technical matters into simple terms.
