SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Facilities-Operations and Maintenance, to perform diverse office management duties and provide advanced administrative support to the director.  Will manage the director’s calendar; schedule and prepare material and arrange logistics for meetings; make travel arrangements as needed; anticipate and initiate actions to ensure successful office operations, interpreting and resolving complex situations and problems as they arise; respond to inquiries that call for in-depth understanding of the department and MIT’s policies and procedures and utilizing subject matter experts as needed; deal with confidential issues using discretion and judgment; compose and edit correspondence and documents; gather information and design presentations and reports for meetings using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; work effectively and collegially with colleagues, clients, and community members; deliver information to department employees and other internal and external constituencies; and collaborate on oversight of office management functions, helping to determine departmental procedures and processes as needed. May assist in budget tracking and management and function as an individual contributor or coordinator on projects. 

Job Requirements


A high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years’ administrative, office, or related experience; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; strong telephone and email skills; initiative and self-motivation; service orientation; demonstrated attention to detail; ability to work both independently and as part of a team and manage a high volume of work; comfort working in fast-paced and complex environment; and proficiency with MS Office, experience with database management and online research, and the ability to learn new software as needed. Familiarity with SAP and MIT financial processes, policies, and procedures preferred. Job #17077-6
