Job Summary
The Nyman Family Unit for Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Wellness at Michigan Medicine is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with expertise in the development and delivery of behavior-based treatments for acute inpatient populations presenting with neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.
Responsibilities*
Responsibilities for this full-time appointment include primary support for the mission of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry multidisciplinary inpatient treatment team.
Duties will include:
- Formation and delivery of individualized behavior programs
- Development and delivery of science-informed treatments for individuals and groups using cognitive behavioral approach
- Training and support of multidisciplinary staff in implementation of ABA interventions
- Leading innovation and change in program development
Required Qualifications*
- Certification as a Board certified Behavior Analyst, eligible for licensure in Michigan
- Master's degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy or closely related field
- Facility working with a range of acute clinical presentations across the life-span including autism spectrum disorder, non-autism genetic disorders, intellectual disability, aggression, anxiety, catatonia, depression, psychosis and suicidality
- Facility using the VB-MAPP or IISCA
- Experience developing and providing programming for individual and group treatment, including the development of programming
- Experience programming for adaptive behavior skill development, including self-care and toileting
- Experience providing clinical teaching and supervision
- The successful applicant will have a demonstrated history of success delivering treatment within multidisciplinary teams, in collaborating effectively with families and external providers and in the organizational and communication skills appropriate to acute clinical care settings
Desired Qualifications*
- Licensed MA psychologist
- Training in crisis intervention
- Experience in parent management training
- Experience in delivery of treatments targeting sensory aversions
- Experience on inpatient psychiatric unit
- Experience in program development
- Experience in delivery of training in Applied Behavioral Analysis approaches as well as Registered Behavior Tech competencies
