Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – REPROVIDE study (testing the effectiveness of a group domestic violence perpetrator programme)

Bristol Medical School in the Faculty Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate to work on a 2.5-year National Institute for Health Research grant which aims to secure the evidence base for the treatment of domestic violence perpetrators. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to work within work stream II of the wider programme conducting a randomised controlled trial of a 6-month group community programme for male perpetrators of domestic violence.

You will be responsible for recruiting male perpetrators of domestic violence; recruiting female survivors and victims of domestic violence, following up with questionnaire completion, managing and analysing data; liaising with a range of patient and professional advisory groups; working alongside others within the programme as a whole; producing project reports and academic papers; and contributing to the research centre, academic department, and faculty within which this post is based. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of conducting research in the area of gendered violence or health trials and have experience of working within a multi-agency context within which health are represented. You will have an understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence as they relate to male perpetrators of abuse and female survivors/victims. The successful candidate will have excellent IT, communication, organisational, and collaborative working skills.
