Research Fellow in Statistical Genetics

Department : Psychology

The NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London is seeking a postdoctoral statistical genetics researcher to implement translational research in mental health. The researcher will develop and apply polygenic risk score methods to bridge the gap between research studies and clinical application.

The post requires a flexible and dynamic postgraduate with substantial computational skills, with previous experience in statistical genetics. The postholder will collaborate closely with statistical, genomic and clinical colleagues on polygenic medicine research studies. They will take responsibility for data management, instigate collaboration on polygenic studies, and lead analyses. They will join the Statistical Genetics Unit, a thriving research group, with over 20 members focused on methodology development and application in statistical genetics.

This post will a fixed-term contract until 31st March, 2022.

This is a full-time role, 100% but part-time will be considered.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.

Grade and Salary : Grade 7, £45,529 to £47,782 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance
