The University of Adelaide seeks an outstanding Executive Dean to lead the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences into a dynamic and exciting future.

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is home to five schools, and some of the world’s brightest minds tackling many of humanity’s greatest health challenges, and generating knowledge and graduates delivering improved health outcomes.

Based in a new state-of-the-art building, the Faculty is superbly placed to engage with industry and community partners. It is located at the core of Adelaide Biomed City, one of the largest precincts of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, next to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute and other partners. The Executive Dean will play a key role in developing a myriad of collaborative opportunities.

The Faculty requires an Executive Dean who is energetic, experienced and entrepreneurial, with a strong appetite for growth and improvement to ensure it remains at the international forefront of health and medical education and research.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, a distinguished research track record, the proven capacity to implement strategic plans, and the ability to contribute more widely to the senior management team.

The position is available for a 5-year fixed term, with potential for extension.
