Duties    

This position will support the Human Immunology Core (HIC). As part of its mission, the HIC purifies human immune cells from both HIV infected and healthy donors. Incumbent will partake in clinical scale cell processing including isolation, culture, and formulation, tissue culture using sterile technique and universal precautions and assays with primary human cells from study subject in support of cell and gene therapy clinical trials at the University of Pennsylvania as well as basic immune biology studies.

Qualifications    

A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related science field and 0-1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Tissue culture or immunology experience preferred. . Experience with flow cytometry and Ficoll-Paque technique preferred. Excellent oral/written communication skills required. Flexibility to work weekends is required.
