University Academic Fellow

Academic Fellowship Opportunities

University of Leeds

Are you an experienced and ambitious researcher? Do you want to further your career in a World-Leading, research-intensive Russell Group University? If so, you may be one of our next University Academic Fellows. With a vision and drive to contribute to a World-Leading research portfolio, as well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of research and student education at The University of Leeds.

We are seeking outstanding individuals who are passionate about developing their careers in research and student education and see Leeds as the place to achieve that. You will work alongside leading academics who will support you in progressing to Associate Professor and reaching your full potential. We will also introduce you to a current Fellow who will use their experience to assist you in finding your way and settling in at the University.

We will agree clear objectives with you as part of your two stage development plan.  Over the first three years, you will typically have an enhanced focus on research but you will also have some engagement with student education from the start. On completion of your fellowship, you will be fully participating in academic life at the University and be ready to take on a significant leadership role.

We will also help you build links to existing staff and other academic fellows, both to further your academic activities and to develop your academic leadership.

The fellowship is a tenure track equivalent post requiring successful completion of a 5 year development plan which will lead to an appointment to a grade 9 Associate Professor, with the potential for accelerated progression.

There are a range of roles available, find out more at www.leeds.ac.uk/uaf

Closing date: 10th March 2019.
