The Graduate Institute of Social Work, National Chengchi University in Taiwan, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Work/Social Welfare at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professorship. 

Responsibilities include teaching courses at the graduate level in Long-Term Care, Aging and Social Policy, Family Policy, or Gender and Social Welfare Policy. 

The position starting date is August 1st, 2019.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching

• Teaching courses in above-mentioned courses and other Social Work/Social Welfare courses at the graduate level 
• Supervising and advising graduate students

Scholarly Research

• Maintaining an innovative, independent, productive, externally funded research agenda

Service

• Participating in the academic life of the Graduate Institute
• Service to the Graduate Institute, College of Social Science, profession and community

QULIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Social Work/Social Welfare (Applicants for the Assistant level must receive the diploma by the date of appointment or within three months thereafter)
• A record of excellence in research, demonstrated through publications in top ranked and field relevant academic journals, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and strong endorsements by referees
• A record of excellence in teaching, demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, teaching evaluations, and strong letters of reference
• A strong command of oral and written skill in both Mandarin and English is required

Assistant Professor Level 

• Highly talented and merited researchers (beyond their post-doc phase preferred) yet still at their early academic career
• Has shown potential, initiative, and innovation in research and teaching 
• Associate/Full Professor Level
• A distinguished academic career and an established international reputation in their fields
• An excellent publications record 
• Success in acquiring external research funding 
• Active members of academic and societal networks
