Duties & Responsibilities            

Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Review and assess annually the progress of the previous year strategic/operational objectives in addition to the section managerial and facilities potential risks
  • Collect, review, and compile annual  assessment results prepared by the section team
  • Along with the team, prioritize the list of electrical section needs based on section annual assessment
  • Along with the team, develop section objectives and plan in-line with QU objectives in addition to team assignment
  • Review the initial feasibility studies for new contracts/projects that are prepared by the team
  • Under the supervision of the office manager, set the plan and budget of new projects/contract 
  • Guide and monitor the implementation of the section approved plans
  • Review and approve the plan and budget related data prepared by the electrical team
  • Review the initial feasibility studies for unplanned contract/project and the request for new project approval that are prepared by the electrical team
  • Identify potential risk of the section
  • Prepare risk control measures and mitigation strategies
  • Monitor the mitigation strategies implementation
  • Identify the office/section needs of human resources and their qualifications
  • Evaluate office/section staff according to pre-identified criteria
  • Prepare and submit section performance measurement report (ad-hoc or periodical)
  • Review tender technical and financial documentation prepared by electrical team
  • Review the tender clarifications and circular
  • Review the technical and financial evaluation of bidders prepared by the electrical section team
  • Review the project change request prepared by the team 
  • Review the payment request prepared by the team
  • Review the project change request prepared by the team 
  • Review the payment request prepared by the team
  • Review and compile all work order status reports and generate overall monthly report  
  • Follow-up on the progress of the PPM
  • Review the direct purchase request 
  • Manage the review of capital projects documentations submitted to the FGSD 
  • Assign section's staff to attend operational training of capital projects handing over 
  • Ensure quality control criteria for all electrical activities are established, communicated, and implemented 
  • Ensure and implement the related part of the quality management system 
  • Facilitate and ensure the availability of the relevant auditee and required information during quality internal audit
  • Review and approve the corrective actions proposed by the section staff and follow up on their implementation  
  • Ensure process performance measures are calculated and submitted to the Quality Management Section as per the pre- identified timeline 
  • Suggest and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure and implement the relevant health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure safety related risk data are provided to Health and Safety Section 
  • Ensure safety related risk mitigation strategy are implemented
  • Ensure and implement the relevant environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure environmental and sustainability related risk data are provided to environmental and sustainability Section 
  • Ensure environmental and sustainability related risk mitigation strategy are implemented
  • Ensure the related documents of projects, contracts and all electrical activities are uploaded according to archiving system.
  • Implement internal correspondences process
  • Ensure the related physical documentation of projects, contracts and all electrical activities  are submitted for archiving
  • Set the Facility Conditional Assessment Program (FCAP) and the executive plan, and ensure the continually of the implementation
  • Review and study end-user feedback and take them into consideration in the future improvement plan

Qualifications            

  • Bachelor degree in electrical or communication engineer
  • 10 years in facilities control systems such as CCTV, access control and fire alarm.
