For the winter semester 2019/2020 or later, our Faculty of Applied Economics (School of Management) is seeking a qualified candidate for the following position (according to BesGr. W2, limited to five years):

PROFESSOR (M/F/D) INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE

We are looking for a distinguished academic who represents International Management and Finance both in research and teaching. The applicant should have a background in International Business and Finance. 

Prerequisites include professional and practical experience in an international context in enterprise management and finance. Additionally, experience in the fields of research and teaching, relevant publications, as well as international contacts are expected. All courses are taught in English. If necessary, the holder of the professorship may also be asked to teach in other relevant academic disciplines (in particular “Quantitative Methods”) offered at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

Required qualifications:

  • Completed degree to PhD level
  • Skilled abilities in scientific work
  • Pedagogic skills

Minimum 5 years of post-graduate professional activity in the development or application of academic knowledge. At least 3 years of this professional experience must have been obtained outside the university sector – although in particular cases, professional activity may be accepted as sufficient if a substantial part within a period of minimum 5 years was completed as a cooperation between the higher educational and the non-university sector.
