Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Advanced In Vitro Models post within the Nanomedicine Laboratory at the University of Manchester. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
You will contribute to EU funded projects aiming to explore interactions of different nanomaterials with advanced cell culture models (3D multicellular culture systems, organoids and ‘organs-on-chip’). Demonstrable previous experience in developing/working with the above mentioned advanced cell culture systems is essential. Previous work with stem cells as well as mastering quantitative analytical and imaging characterization methods is advantageous. Understanding interactions of nanomaterials with cells is desirable. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from a range of backgrounds, in order to contribute to an interdisciplinary program of research.
You should hold a PhD in Molecular / Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent. Evidence of a developing research publication track record will be advantageous.
