Working within the award winning Law School, which has an excellent reputation both for research and for learning and teaching, you will join a team of world-leading and internationally excellent legal scholars.  
This post further reflects our ambitious research agenda, following extensive investment in research over the last decade.  The successful candidate will contribute to one or more of our vibrant research groupings which include the Centre for Evidence and Criminal Justice Studies, and our signature research areas of Legal Education and Professional Skills, and Law and Society.  The Law School also makes a significant contribution to the University-wide Multi-Disciplinary Research Theme of Environmental and Global Justice.

Additionally, we have dynamic and ambitious research groupings in empirical legal studies, gender sexuality and law, financial crime, humanities, medical and mental health, science and justice, and family justice. 

You will have a PhD and a research record enabling you to make a contribution to REF2021, and have clear plans to enhance that contribution. 

It is also essential that have had success in applying for external research funding and have appropriate knowledge of future potential funding bodies aligned to your area(s) of research interest.  You will also contribute to our teaching activity (up to four hours per week).
