  • Fixed-term duration between 2 and 6 month, with a flexible start date any time in the course of 2020
  • Salary: Level A: $68,452 - $92,497 plus superannuation

About the team

As a researcher in Classic and Ancient history at UWA, you will join a friendly cluster with broad research interests. Classics and Ancient History at UWA offers a holistic approach to the study of the Greco-Roman world through engagement with the culture, history and languages of these two civilisations. 

About the opportunity

In this role, you will undertake research leading to scholarly publications.

You will be required to:

  1. Undertake research in any area of the classical world leading to scholarly publication
  2. Deliver the Margaret Braine Memorial lecture
  3. Participate in fortnightly research seminars of the Classics and Ancient History discipline group.

About you

You will be PhD qualified and possess an outstanding research profile relative to opportunity. You may be a recently-qualified PhD looking to build your post-doctoral research profile, or an established academic looking to spend your study leave within one of Australia's top research institutions.
