Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Gastrointestinal Tract Cancer in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 493930), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or a related biomedical discipline.  They should be self-motivated with proven experience and good publication record.  Experience in primary cell culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry, imaging and animal studies is preferred.  The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor S.Y. Leung (http://www.hku.hk/patho/staff/list/syleung.html) to characterize tumor driver genes in gastrointestinal tract cancer using 3D organoid cultures and genome editing technology as part of a theme-based research project.  The main focus will be on integrative analysis of genomics data and functional characterization of novel cancer related genes as discovered by genomics approach.
