The University of Bristol is looking for a senior digital product manager to lead on the University’s new digital communications strategy.

You’ll be a product evangelist and you’ll evangelise this approach across the University. You’ll have extensive experience in the field of digital product management and development, agile practices and user-centred design. You’ll also need strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering value to users and the business.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams and coach, mentor and develop other members of the Digital Communications team. You’ll embed a focus on agile development, working with internal and external teams to plan, manage and assume overall accountability for the delivery and ongoing optimisation of an expanding digital product portfolio.

You’ll need to understand the big picture of implementing University-wide goals, be an advocate for the product strategy to senior stakeholders and shape the services to meet the user needs that they and their teams identify.

You’ll set strategic goals for product development, define project roadmaps, and prioritise a backlog of work for one or more teams. They will identify requirements by working closely with users, stakeholders, technical, operational experts to create and strengthen a product vision.

In return, we offer a great package (including 40 days leave), a chance to make a real difference to our digital output and an exciting and thought-provoking working environment with inspiring colleagues.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
