About the Job

The Manager: Industry Experience will develop, promote and manage the Division’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. The position will play a key role in the development of government, industry and community organisation partnerships to establish, maintain and extend partnerships to support student opportunities. The position will also have responsibility for overseeing the design and implementation of supporting systems and processes. 

This is a strategic outreach and liaison role between ITEE students who are seeking placement opportunities, academic staff who will manage the academic assessment of placement learning outcomes, and host organisations.

Skills and Experience

To be successful, you will have a Bachelor or equivalent degree in business (or relevant discipline) combined with experience working in an academic environment or a combination of extensive experience in a management/leadership role in an academic environment with complexity in external partnerships.  

You will also have demonstrated experience in generating new business and managing strategic relationships along with experience working in or with industry relevant to the teaching programs of the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment. Your highly developed communication and negotiation skills, sound written skills including experience in the delivery of presentations and preparation of reports and strong commercial and project management experience in a complex organisation is essential in this role.
