Do you have the creativity and passion to help develop really engaging student videos?

The University of Lincoln puts students at the heart of everything we do and the Student Life initiative is no different. We use a blog (http://studentlife.lincoln.ac.uk), a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/uolstudentlife) and a range of social media accounts to publish and share student-created content aimed at current Lincoln students.

We are looking for a graduate who can bring fresh ideas to this initiative, helping to create a range of video content that really engages students and enhances the student experience at Lincoln.

You will need to be creative, digitally savvy and confident in video editing and production. You will be working collaboratively, coordinating a team of student video support assistants and content creators and you will therefore need skills in leadership, communication and also an understanding of editorial approaches, content strategy and storytelling using video.

Working alongside our Video Development Coordinator, your role will be to support the students, helping them to produce engaging video content for our YouTube channel, blog and social media, as well as for use on Blackboard as teaching and learning resources. Some hands-on video editing and production will also be required. You will also be involved in organising and running events, liaising with staff from different University teams, helping you to develop your communication, collaboration and organisation skills.

The role is a fixed term 6-month position, providing a recent graduate with significant experience in the latest digital communications techniques.

You will be required to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the initiative, including some weekends and public holidays. It is expected that you will work across the University campus in different academic areas as necessary.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
